All research articles undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent external reviewers. The identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to each other.
Reviewers are selected based on expertise, prior publications, and absence of conflicts of interest. The journal maintains an international reviewer database covering all areas in its scope.
Initial editorial screening: up to 7 days. Peer review: typically 4–8 weeks. Authors receive a decision letter consolidating all reviewer recommendations.
Reviewers may recommend: Accept · Minor Revision · Major Revision · Reject · Reject & Resubmit. Final decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief.
Authors may appeal an editorial decision by submitting a detailed letter. Appeals are reviewed by an independent editor not involved in the original decision.
