Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal nature of the cybercrime phenomenon, its various forms, transnational characteristics, and mechanisms of international legal cooperation. Against the backdrop of rapid digital technology development, cybercrimes emerge not only as technical issues but also as profound legal, social, and political challenges. The article provides a legal description of crime types such as phishing, DDoS attacks, cyberbullying, and cyberterrorism, while also examining the methodology for collecting digital evidence. The 2001 Budapest Convention, policies within the framework of the Rome Statute, and the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan are analyzed as the international legal basis. In conclusion, the necessity of harmonizing national and international mechanisms for an effective fight against cybercrime is substantiated.
